ESDAO

You become classed as inactive in a game after you've not clicked the 'complete turn' tick for 3 turns in a row. Clicking this signifies that you are doing your turns, so if you stop clicking it ESDAO assumes that you are no longer participating in the game.

Once you are inactive your empire will start to crumble. Each turn the industry in your hexes will produce one less ship than normal, this accumulates until they completely stop producing new ships. Each hex's defensive bonus will reduce at the same rate until no bonus is given as the industry has shutdown.

If you start doing turns again by clicking the 'complete turn' tick your industry and defenses will ramp back up to normal production. It is important to note that this happens after any movement and combat, but before new ships are created. So if someone attacks you at the same time you start doing turns again, they attack you while your defenses are still down.

Note: all industry belonging to players who surrender immediately shuts down - no longer producing new ships or providing a defensive bonus.
