HOW TO PLAY
ATTACKS
Attacks that occurred in the previous turn are shown as red lines on the borders of where they happened, with a report visible when viewing the target hex.
Instead of losses from attacks being calculated on a 1:1 basis the relative sizes of the attacker and defender are taken into account. So the more the winner outnumbers the loser the less ships they lose. If you are able to build up an overwhelming force before attacking someone you won't suffer as many losses as you might otherwise and it'll give you momentum to keep attacking.
Overcome enemy strongholds by attacking from multiple sides
When attacked from multiple hexes the defender looses some of their industry's defensive bonus; the more hexes a player attacks from the greater the reduction will be. The bonus a defender receives can be entirely nullified, noting that their defense will never be reduced below the number of actual ships defending.
Attack reports show what effect the multi-attack bonus had.
